STRAIGHT POSITION TRANSDUCER WITH BALL PROBE PY

The measurement of displacements using straight position transducers is an indispensable activity in many areas of structural diagnostics. The use of this type of transducer ranges from static load tests to monitoring injuries and crack  in general. Their use becomes necessary whenever you want to measure a movement continuously and the acquisition and recording of data are required for subsequent processing. The DRC position transducers PY series are potentiometric type and allow to measure displacements and mechanical strokes. The potentiometric technology makes them “absolute” allowing to maintain the detection of the stroke (and therefore of the position) even in the absence of power supply. The presence of the stainless steel ball tip guarantees an ideal contact during the execution of the measurements. This transducer is suitable for applications where no transverse displacements of the object to be measured are expected. The return spring allows the automatic return of the rod to the zero position. The position transducers of the PY series can be supplied with the appropriate wiring to be immediately connected to the MIRO AS4 and Data 500 acquisition units.
