Ultrasound probes
Ultrasound control is an industrial non-destructive testing method. It detects defects – surface or internal – in metal bodies by propagating ultra-high frequency sound waves. The waves are emitted by a transducer located in the probe: when the probe is touched to the metal, it transmits and receives a pulse signal (wave) which is reflected and deviated when it hits discontinuities and obstacles inside the material.
Depending on specific characteristics, form and dimensions, can classify the following transducers: Angle beam; Single element; Dual element; Air coupled; EMAT; TOFD; Phased Array and Special type of transducers developed on specific client’s needs.
