PILE – Integrity Tester (PIT)

Pile Integrity Tester (PIT) testing checks a foundation for defects such as cavities, breakages or significant dimensional variation before the superstructure is constructed.
The Pile Integrity Tester can be used on concrete or wooden piles.
The instrument uses two accelerometers to test piles under existing structures (existing foundations), for example, piles supporting bridges or towers, and measure their length. The Pile Integrity Tester runs a non-destructive analysis based on the one-dimensional wave equation (Pulse or Sonic Echo Test) as well as Low Strain Dynamic Testing, using hammer with integrated instrumentation.
All Pile Integrity Tester models conform with ASTM D5882 and can be easily operated by one person; have an easy-to-use touch screen and run an entire day on an internal rechargeable battery.
